Davao humingi ng tulong kay Ramirez
DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Hiningi kahapon ng host province Davao de Oro ang tulong ni Philippine Sports Commission chairman William ‘Butch’ Ramirez.
Ito ay para mapaganda ang kanilang overall ranking sa darating na Davao Region Athletic Association (DAVRAA) Meet 2020 na nakatakda sa Abril 1- 7 sa Montevista.
Pumuwesto ang Davao de Oro sa No. 9 noong 2019 edition ng nasabing regional meet.
“Chairman (Ramirez), Gov. Uy wants PSC’s help to train our coaches and athletes to improve our DAVRAA Meet ranking since we are this year’s host,” wika ni Davao de Oro provincial sports coordinator Miles Atugan.
Sinabi naman ni Ramirez na dapat tutukan ng Davao de Oro ang mga medal-rich sports imbes na magpalakas sa mga popular na ball games.
Magpapadala ang PSC chief sa Davao de Oro ng mga coaches at trainers sa basketball, volleyball, football, boxing, swimming, athletics, table tennis, archery, taekwondo at arnis para sa isang coaches’ education at sports clinics.
“Leadership is important to succeed in sports. If there is no leadership, nothing will prosper,” wika ni Ramirez. “Coach leadership, discipline and character are vital in producing competitive and champion athletes.”
Hinamon ng PSC head ang Davao de Oro na pagandahin ang kanilang DAVRAA ranking sa No. 5 sa darating na kompetisyon.
