PSL tankers ‘di maawat

MANILA, Philippines — Patuloy ang pananalasa ng Philippine Swimming League (PSL) nang kubrahin nito ang 15 ginto, 18 pilak at anim na tansong medalya sa  2018 Tokyo Invitational Swimming Championship na ginaganap sa St. Mary’s International School swimming pool sa Tokyo, Japan.

Nagningning din sina General Santos City bet Francisco Cordero III at Quezon City tanker Richelle Ann Raine Callera na gumawa din ng bagong rekord sa kanilang paboritong events.

Hataw si Cordero sa boys’ 11-12 50m breaststroke sa pamamagitan ng 32.39 segundo para wasakin ang 33.65 na lumang marka ni Go Nagaoka noong 2013.

Nagreyna naman si Callera sa girls’ 8-under 50m butterfly nang magrehistro ito ng 37.43 segundo sapat para palubugin ang 38.22 na dating rekord ni Natsuki Uchino noong 2015.

Nakasiguro pa si Callera ng ginto sa 50m freestyle event (35.63).

Nakipagsabayan naman si reigning Swimmer of the Year Marc Bryan Dula ng Masville Elementary School-Parañaque laban sa mas matatanda at matatangkad na karibal para pagharian ang boys’ 11-12 100m butterfly sa pamamagitan ng 1:06.75.

Hindi rin maawat sina Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh, Ellaiza Nicole Rojo at Aishel Cid Evangelista na nagdagdag pa ng tiga-gatlong gintong medalya.

Nanguna si Mojdeh sa girls’ 11-12 100m butterfly (1:04.67), 50m breaststroke (36.51) at 100m IM (1:09.93) habang namayani si Rojo sa girls’ 13-14 400m freestyle (4:57.77), 100m backstroke (1:14.30) at 200m IM (2:37.62).
