11 gold pa sa PSL tankers

MANILA, Philippines — Hindi maawat ang Pinoy tankers nang bumanat pa ito ng 11 ginto, walong pilak at limang tansong medalya sa ikalawang araw ng 2018 Tokyo Invitational Swimming Championship na ginaganap sa St. Mary’s International School swimming pool sa Tokyo, Japan.

Nagpasiklab na naman si Aishel Cid Evangelista ng West Manila Christian School matapos magtala ng bagong rekord sa boys’ 8-under 100m freestyle sa bilis na isang minuto at 12.17.

Pinataob ni Evangelista ang tatlong dekadang rekord na 1:14.61 na naitala ni Kei Karamaki noon pang 1987.

Hataw din si Palarong Pambansa Most Beme-dalled Athlete Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh na kumana pa ng isang rekord sa girls’ 11-12 50m butterfly ta-ngan ang 29.91 segundo - sapat para tabunan ang 29.98 na lumang marka ni Yuri Chino noong 1997.

Nag-ambag ng tig-dalawang ginto sina Phency Joyce Bose sa girls’ 15-18 200m backstroke (2:37.88) at 200m freestyle (2:25.13) at Richelle Callera sa girls’ 8-under 25m butterfly (16.71) at 100m freestyle (1:18.07).
