Valdez kailangang dumaan sa tryout para sa SEAG team
MANILA, Philippines - Kailangang sumali ni volleyball superstar Alyssa Valdez sa tryouts na itatakda ng mga mi-yembro ng coaching staff kung gusto niyang mapabilang sa Philippine team.
Kung hindi niya ito gagawin ay hindi siya bibigyan ng slot sa national squad.
Isasabak ang mabubuong Philippine women’s team sa Asian Women’s Seniors Championship sa Manila sa Hulyo at sa 29th SEA Games sa Kuala Lumpur sa Agosto.
Sinabi ni Francis Vicente, ang hinirang na head coach ng women’s team na wala nang pagpipilian si Valdez kundi ang sumali sa tryouts na itinakda sa Enero 29-31 kung gusto niyang mapa-sama sa national team.
“She must join the tryout and show up at the gym. We want to be fair with everybody. If she wants to play for the national team, she must join the tryouts,” wika ni Vicente kahapon sa PSA Forum sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
“It’s a tryout and there’s nobody gets any special treatment, even if it’s Alyssa who used to be my player. I respect her talent. But she must try out,” dagdag pa nito.
Si Valdez ay naglalaro sa 3BB Nakornnont sa Thai League bilang import.
Nauna nang sinabi ni Valdez kina Larong Volleyball ng Pilipinas, Inc. (LVPI) president Jose Romasanta at vice president Peter Cayco ang intensyon niyang maglaro para sa Philippine team.
Gagawin ang tryouts sa Arellano Law University campus sa Pasay City.
“I have no doubt about Alyssa’s talent but she has to attend the tryouts. We want to see the commitment in the players,” sabi ni Vicente sa dating Ateneo star.
