GMA, suportado ang House Bill sa pamimirata
Buo ang suporta ng GMA Network para sa matagumpay na pagpasa ng House Bill 7600 sa House of Representatives.
Ipinakilala ni Albay Representative Joey S. Salceda, ang batas na ito ay nagsususog sa Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines at nagbibigay sa Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL “additional powers to prevent counterfeit or pirated goods and contents.” The bill will also allow the organization to “gather intelligence information and investigate violations of the IP Code and develop countermeasures to deter counterfeit or pirated goods or content.”
“GMA Network is committed to upholding the rights of content creators and copyright holders, and we strongly support the passage of House Bill 7600,” pahayag ni GMA Network Legal Affairs Assistant Vice President Atty. Jose Vener Ibarra, representing the GMA Anti-Piracy Committee.
“Online piracy poses a significant threat to the Philippines’ creative industry, undermining the hard work and investments made by our talented content creators. This legislation will serve as a deterrent to piracy, protecting the interests of our industry and ensuring a sustainable future for our content ecosystem,” dagdag nito.
Ang batas ay nagbibigay ng kinakailangang pagpigil sa pamimirata na protektahan ang mga namimirata na talamak sa lahat ng digital platform sa kasalukuyan.
