Cyber libel kay Annabelle Rama, pina-withdraw ng korte

Inutusan na ng korte ang petition of withdrawal ng cyber libel ni Jomer Jayke Joson laban kay Annabelle Rama.

Sa natanggap kong dokumento ay nakasaad na : “Before the Court is the Motion to Withdraw Information filed by the prosecution on November 25, 2022, stating that as per the Department of Justice Resolution on the Accused’ Petition for Review, this case was ordered withdrawn.

“Considering that venue is jurisdictional in a criminal case and the records do not show that the private complainant is a resident of Las Piñas City, or that Las Piñas City is where the post was printed or first published, this Court has no jurisdiction over these cases.

“WHEREFORE, premised on the foregoing, the Motion to Withdraw Information is GRANTED. The abovecited Informations are now WITHDRAWN from the docket of this Court.

“The Manifestation filed by the accused on December 1, 2022 is NOTED.

“The hearing of these cases on December 5, 2022 is cancelled,” ang buong order ng korte.

Kinumpirma ito ni Atty. Marie Glen Abraham-Garduque, legal counsel ni tita Annabelle.

“Yes we confirm the receipt of the resolution from doj granting our petition for review thereby directing the office of the city prosecutor of las pinas to withdraw the information for cyber libel that it filed against tita annabelle in court. Of course we are very happy that the doj gave due course to our petition. As per last follow up with rtc branch 253, there is already a motion to withdraw information filed by the ocp of las pinas in court. We are just waiting for the action of the court in said motion. Yes i called tita annabelle as soon as the law office received the resolution. Ang naalala ko Lang na sinabi nya ay buti na lang daw she listened to my advice to follow and trust the legal proceedings.”

Si Jomer Jayke Joson ay dating manager ni former Senator Manny Pacquiao na kumandidato sa grupo ng isang partylist group pero hindi nanalo.

Buti pa ang cyber libel parang mas mabilis ang result kesa sa normal libel.
