KMJS, nakasungkit ng Bronze medal sa 2022 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards

MANILA, Philippines — ‘Di na bago kay Jessica Soho ang makatanggap ng local at international awards kaya naman patuloy na pinagkakatiwalaan ang GMA News and Public Affairs pillar ng publiko at mga award-giving body bilang news anchor at public affairs host.

Muling nagbigay-karangalan sa bansa ang kanyang programang Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS) nang manalo ito ng Bronze medal sa 2022 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards (NYF) sa kanyang Bestida ni Ranelyn (Ranelyn’s Dress) segment.

Itinatampok sa winning entry sa Documentary: Health/Medical Information category ang isang anim na taong batang babae na buto’t balat na sa sobrang kapayatan dahil sa kahirapan at severe malnourishment na pangarap makapagsuot ng bestida.

Sa kanyang acceptance speech, pinasalamatan ni Jessica ang NYF at mga taong tumulong kay Ranelyn.

“Ranelyn is a girl so severely malnourished she couldn’t even put on her favorite dress. Sadly there are so many more like her in a poor country like ours. But help came after her story aired, and today she’s in school and hopefully on her way to a brighter future,” pahayag ni Jessica.

“Thank you, New York Festivals, for acknowledging her story and for continuing to champion good journalism. I share this with the staff of my program, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, and our network, GMA Network.”

Kinilala rin ang news anchor bilang isa sa pinaka-pinagkakatiwalaang news personalities sa Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Awards 2022.

For the 13th consecutive year, nasungkit nito ang Most Trusted TV Host for News and Current Affairs award, at napabilang din sa Hall of Fame noong 2018.

“Thank you for your never-ending trust,” ani Jessica. “I wish to be able to live up to it in the course of my work and despite the very trying times we’re all living in,” dagdag nito.

Bukod sa pagkakasungkit ng napakaraming awards, paboritong panoorin ang kanyang programang KMJS ng viewers at netizens.

Ayon pa nga sa Nielsen Philippines’ TV audience measurement data mula January hanggang April, KMJS recorded a people audience share of 66.6 percent, making it the dominant must-see show sa timeslot nito sa Total Philippines.
