Cong. Alfred mas naging mas malakas dahil sa misis

Speaking of MMFF, aminado naman ang mga producer nito including Cong. Alfred Vargas na hindi naging maganda ang kinalabasan nito in terms of box office result, pero happy pa rin naman daw ang katulad niyang producer - “Regarding Tagpuan, though affected yung buong MMFF overall because of the pandemic situation, happy naman kaming producers because:

“1) Tagpuan had 11 nominations and got 2 major awards, including 3rd best film. As a friend and producer, i’m so happy for shaina - magdayao - for winning best supporting actress;

“2) extended ang run ng Tagpuan until Jan 31 dahil marami ang nagrerequest;

“3) we’ve received a lot of good reviews and multiple invitations to participate sa international film festivals;

“4) we have several generous offers on the table for TV rights and online rights;

“5) maraming young writers and directors ang kausap natin ngayon for future projects at maganda pitches nila, very excited ang Alternative Vision Cinema sa developments na ito,”  sagot ni Cong Alfred na everyday ay nagpapasalamat sa Diyos para sa misis niyang si Yasmine. “Happy to be stuck in quarantine with this one since March last year. @yasmine_vargas2307, you’ve made all this time of pandemic and all the multiple challenges we faced more than just bearable. You made me strong. You always made me see the good instead of the bad. You showered me with love, support, and understanding. I thank God everyday I have you. Anyway, willing ba si Cong. Alfred na magpa-COVID vaccine? “Yes, willing ako. Kahit sa harap ng maraming tao. I’ll wait for the approved list ng FDA and dun ako pipili.”

Kasalukuyan siyang chairperson of the Committee on Social Services at sabi niya sa kanyang post two days ago “We had a productive discussion on the implementation of the Social Amelioration Program for this year, which allowed us to address specific concerns and issues. The recommendations for the granting of Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations, a program of the DSWD, was also tackled.

“This is just the beginning. Our committee will address more concerns as we move forward. The mandate is clear and we will remain focused and steadfast.”
