Kuwento tungkol sa martial law nanalong Best Picture

Best picture ang pelikulang Liway sa ginanap sa Eddys 2019 the other night sa New Frontier Theater. Kuwento ng isang pamilya na nabiktima ng martial law ang Liway na dinirek ni Kip Oebanda.

Hindi inasahan ng production team ng nasabing pelikula na pinagbidahan ni Glaiza de Castro, na maghahakot sila ng award sa The Eddys ng Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd).

Naging host si Ms. Korina Sanchez-Roxas na na-injured matapos mahulog ng isang step sa hagdan habang nagti-text. “At the Eddys last night. Impressed with the production, simple but elegant, and with numbers well thought of. Congrats to SPEED, the association of entertainment editors in the country. I couldn’t believe the iconic giants of the industry all on one stage, celebrating 100 Years of Philippine Cinema. Tama lang naman na may makaisip ng ganito. The 3rd Eddys Awards saw entertainment luminaries from way back to the present come together,” papuri ni Ms. Ko­ring sa presentation na produced ng EchoJham Entertainment Production at dinirek ni Calvin Neria.

Maging si Eric Quizon ay bumati ng “Great production. Congratulations to everyone,” message ni Direk Eric na tumanggap ng Posthumous Award para sa kanyang Daddy Dolphy.

Perfect ang timing ng nasabing pagkilala ayon sa speech ni Eric. July 10 ang death anniversary ni Mang Dolphy at sa July 25 naman ang birthday ng namayapang Hari ng Komedya.

Nagpapasalamat din si Eric na kahit seven years nang namayapa ang kanyang ama, hindi siya nalilimutan ng industriya.

Naalala niya tuloy nung minsang bumisita siya sa puntod ng ama at nakita niyang ang rami ng alikabok ng puntod, nagmamadali raw sana siyang linisin pero naisip niya na kung wala ‘yung alikabok,  hindi niya mababasa ang mga nakasulat ditong message ng fans.

Ang Chan, Robles and Company ang official auditing firm ng The Eddys represented by Mr. Juancho Robles kaya walang ka-leakage leakage.

Ang kolumnista ng PSN at reyna ng tsika na si Nay Cristy Fermin ang tumanggap ng Joe Quirino Award at si tita Ethel Ramos ang pinagkalooban Manny Pichel Award.

Naging Red Carpet host si Juancho Travino at Ara San Agustin.
