Moira, nagtago dahil sa depresyon

Inamin ni Moira dela Torre na nakaranas siya ng matinding depresyon dahil sa mga mapanirang salita na ibinabato sa kanya ng netizens sa social media. Nagsimula ito nang makumpirma na isa ang singer sa mga hurado ng Search for the Idol Philippines.

Malaki naman ang pasasalamat ni Moira sa asawang si Jason Marvin Hernandez dahil sa pag-aalaga nito noong mga panahong depressed siya.

“Now, may nag-aalaga na sa akin. Now, hindi lang aso ang inaalagaan ko. My depressive mode, ang hirap kasi kapag na-diagnose ka, ang kitid ng hope. Hindi mo mahanap ‘yung light. Parang nako-consume ka talaga eh. But now I have someone praying with me, next to me. It’s a little lighter. My husband really is God sent. He always reminds me that I’m loved. I open up, that’s something that I practice. Kasi kapag hindi mo inilabas ‘yan, maiipon ‘yan eh. So my psychiatrist said, ‘Forget all my teachings but at the end of the day, be open. Don’t be alone, don’t hide yourself. You’re not alone.’ And that’s something I constantly have to remind people of and Jason always reminds me of that,” pagbabahagi ni Moira.

Talagang naapektuhan ang singer nang unang beses na ma-bash online dahil hindi pa siya sanay dito noon. “The first time I got bashed, tumakbo ako sa Bacolod. Nagtago ako sa Bacolod for three days. Na-misunderstand kasi, I felt attacked all of a sudden out of nowhere. There is so many things that people who watch you on screen say even if they don’t know what’s happening behind the camera and behind social media. So there was so many things that I wanted to say na nag-anxiety attack ako nang sobra,” kwento ng singer.

Dumarating din ang mga pagkakataon na hindi na makatiis si Moira at sinasagot na niya ang bashers. “There are times na nagre-reply ako sa mga bashers pero in private just to say, ‘Ano meron?’ mabait pa rin ako. Tapos magre-reply sila, ‘Actually, I’m a big fan of yours.’ So nagbabago, it doesn’t make sense. Nagsusulat na lang ako ng kanta. Kasi I don’t want to be like them. I don’t want to add more noise because they are already so loud,” giit niya.

Samantala, kahit ilang buwan nang kasal ay hindi pa raw nagpaplano na bumuo ng pamilya sina Moira at Jason. “Not yet. Focus muna sa career. We can have a child in two or three years. Bata pa naman kami. One of the reasons why I’m happy that we got married early kasi ang tagal nang mae-enjoy namin (na dalawa lang kami) bago kami magka-baby,” pagtatapos niya.  (Reports from JCC)
