Some of the scene na mapapanood ang bayanihan preparation of Give-A-Gift: Alay Sa Batang Pinoy Noche Buena packs at the GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF) Operations Center na pinangunahan ng founder and ambassador Mel Tiangco and the inspiring story of how GMA’s four-decade long medical-social service TV program Kapwa Ko Mahal Ko continues to touch lives.

Ang theme song entitled Puso ng Pasko was performed by various Kapuso personalities headlined by Michael V, Alden Richards, Jennylyn Mercado, Tom Rodriguez, Lovi Poe, Christian Bautista, Aicelle Santos, The Clash Grand Champion Golden Cañedo, and Julie Ann San Jose, with lyrics by Rexy Jolly Conopio and BJ Camaya while music was composed and arranged by Ann Figueroa.

100 Years Celebration ng pelikula may Presidential Proclamation!

Ang Film Development Council of the Philippines ang mangunguna sa celebration ng Centennial Year of Philippine Cinema na nag-umpisa noong September 12, 2019 to September 11, 2020.

Base sa Presidential Proclamation 622 Series of 2018, ang Centennial Year of Philippine Cinema ay dineklara bilang pagkilala sa pelikulang Dalagang Bukid ni Jose Nepomuceno, na tinuturing na first Filipino-produced and directed feature film. Napanood ito noong Sept 12, 1919. “The One Hundred Years of Philippine Cinema is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration in honor of the journey of this incredible art form and cultural marker. Film is a part of every Filipino as one of the most accessible and effective mediums that tell our stories, struggles, victories, and our growth as a people. We are grateful to the Office of the President for recognizing the importance of this milestone,” pahayag ni FDCP Chairperson and CEO Liza Diño. “We look forward to commemorating Sandaan, as we call this celebration, not just with our fellow government agencies, but with all sectors of society. We encourage each and every Filipino to join us continue the legacy of our Cinema and look forward to the next hundred years,” dagdag ni Chair Liza.

Nauna nang binuo ang Sandaan National Organizing Committee kasama ang key government agencies and institutions such as the National Commission on Culture and the Arts, Cultural Center of the Philippines, MTRCB, Optical Media Board, Film Academy of the Philippines, UP Film Institute, De La Salle College of Saint Benilde and local and regional film festivals in the country.

Ang para sa Sandaan will be in line with themes of knowledge production, education, exhibition and international events.

Kasama rin sa celebration ang pagkakaroon ng Sandaan conferences, a series of lectures and talks featured in its partnerships with local and regional film festivals in the country. Noong 2017, ang ahensiya ay nakipag-partner sa UP Film Institute.

Kinilala na rin ang bansa sa iba’t ibang international film festivals and markets by declaring the Philippines as the Country of Focus in the Osaka Asian Film Festival, Focus on Asia Fukuoka International Film Festival in Japan, Far East Film Festival in Udine, Italy, Busan International Film Festival in South Korea, Exground Film Festival in Wiesbaden, Germany, and Singapore Media Festival in Singapore. Na-feature sa mga nasabing film festival ang  retrospectives of films, exhibits and educational talks that highlight the journey of Philippine Cinema at ang kasalukuyang kalagayan ng ating industriya.

Habang papalapit ang 2019 mas marami pa umano silang paghahandang ginagawa para mas maging makabuluhan ang celebration ng 100 years ng pelikulang Pilipino.
