Pacquiao wala sa listahan ni Crawford para sa title defense
MANILA, Philippines — Dahil walang hawak na korona ay hindi ikinunsidera ng bagong World Boxing Organization welterweight champion na si Terence Crawford si Manny Pacquiao sa kanyang title defense.
Ang mga nabanggit lang ni Crawford ay sina World Boxing Association titlist Lucas Matthysse, WBA super king Keith Thurman at International Boxing Federation ruler Errol Spence, Jr.
Hindi nabanggit ng 30-anyos na si Crawford (33-0-0, 24 KOs) ang pangalan ni Pacquiao (59-7-2, 39 KOs) sa mga posible niyang labanan.
“We want them all, we want them all, that’s the goal,” ani Crawford matapos agawin kay Jef Horn ang suot nitong WBO welterweight belt via ninth-round TKO win noong Linggo. “I feel like I’m getting better and better. I feel like I’m stronger, I’m more energised, I feel like this is a great division for me.”
Kung tatalunin ng 39-anyos na si Pacquiao ang 35-anyos na si Matthysse (39-4-0, 36 KOs) sa Hulyo 15 sa Axiata Arena sa Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia ay tiyak na ikukunsidera siya ng 30-anyos na si Crawford.
Ang WBO title ay nauna nang hinubad ni Horn kay Pacquiao via unanimous decision noong Hulyo ng 2017 sa Brisbane, Australia.
Determinado si Pacquiao na tanggalin kay Matthysse ang suot nitong WBA crown.
Samantala, mula nang buksan ang bentahan ng tiket noong Hunyo 7 ay mabilis na naubos ang mga pangunahing silya para sa suntukan nina Pacquiao at Matthysse.
Ito ang inihayag ni Mohd Fairuz Ibrahim, ang Operations Director ng MPKL Events.
“The initial sales are encouraging and we are thrilled by the strong response and support from boxing fans across the region especially the international fans who purchased the tickets in bulk,” sabi ni Ibrahim.
“We are expecting the excitement to further build over the weekend as fans spread the word to other fans who may not have read the news on the ticket sales,” dagdag pa nito.
