Papa P namudmod sa mga katrabaho ng mahigit P500-k

Almost half million pala ang pinakawalan ni Piolo Pascual sa mga nakatrabaho niya sa pelikulang Northern Lights: A Journey to Love nu’ng last shooting day nito na showing na sa March 29 with Yen Santos and Raikko Mateo directed by Dondon Santos.

Kuwento ni Direk Manny Valera na line producer for Regal Films, binigyan ni Papa P ng cash gift ang lahat ng staff and crew, nagpa-litson ng 7 at 10 bilaong pansit.

Bukod pa raw ito sa Pamasko niya sa lahat ng mga nakatrabaho.

At matagal na pala itong ginagawa ni Piolo, hindi nga lang nauungkat. “Nakagawian ko lang. Tradition lang. ‘Yung parang nagbibigay ka ng alaala sa mga nakasama mo,” simpleng sagot niya tungkol doon na nauna niyang nakitang ginawa ni Regine Velasquez nung magkasama sila ni Songbird sa movie.

Naungkat ito nang mag-speech si Mother Lily Monteverde na ikinaiyak pa nga ng actor.

“Nag-iyakan ang mga taga-production sa sorpresa niya sa kanila. They love him to death now,” ang bahagi ng speech ni Mother Lily kaya napag-usapan kung gaano nga ka-generous ang actor na kinakikiligan pa rin ng lahat.

Puring-puri rin ng Regal producer ang ultimate heartthrob na 14 years ago ang huling pelikula sa kanyang kumpanya.

“They say ‘friends we meet along life’s road help us appreciate the journey.’

“I agree. The first time I met Papa P, I knew that he was special. Not only do I find him to be a brilliant actor, he is a diligent one as well.

“His eyes speak of sincerity, his heart, filled with compassion for others. Right there and then, I thought this guy would go a long way in his career. I was right.

“Fourteen years ago, Papa P did  I Think I’m In Love with Joyce Jimenez for Regal. And 14 years after, I wished that he would do another movie for us.

“Northern Lights: A Journey to Love  is an answered prayer. Our common love and passion for the art led him to a new journey back to Mother Lily and Regal.

Ayon kay Papa P na tinuturing na Ultimate Heartthrob, hindi raw niya inasahang magagawa nila ang Northern Lights.

“So I’m just really humbled by this. Thank you Mother, thank you Miss Roselle.”

Kumpirmado, Angel babu na sa darna

Kumpirmado, hindi na lilipad na Darna si Angel Locsin.

Kagabi ay nagpahabol ng statement si Kane Choa, Head, Corporate Communications ng ABS-CBN tungkol sa naudlot na pagganap ng aktres sa sikat na Pinoy super hero.

Medical condition ang rason na ibinigay sa matagal na pinag-usapang pagganap ni Angel na Darna sa pelikula.

“ABS-CBN, Star Cinema, and Angel Locsin have mutually arrived at a final decision that she will no longer pursue the Darna movie due to her medical condition.

“We gave Angel our full support during and after her treatment in hopes that she would portray the iconic Filipino heroine. Because of Angel’s passion and dedication, she resumed training for the movie after undergoing surgery and therapy for the disc bulge in her spine. Unfortunately, Angel experienced back pain twice during training, prompting her doctor to advise her not to participate in strenuous activities to avoid permanent damage on her spine.

“We would have loved to see Angel fly again as Darna and take our hats off to her for the gargantuan efforts she has put in for the project.

“We wish her well as she will begin working on other projects, like a special role in La Luna Sangre with John Lloyd Cruz, a movie with James Reid, a movie with Coco Martin, and a teleserye,” ang kabuuan ng statement.

Meaning hindi mababakante si Angel, hindi nga lang siya lilipad.
