Lider ng BIFF, 5 pang kasapi sumuko

MANILA, Philippines — Sumuko sa tropa ng pamahalaan ang isang lider ng rogue elements ng Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) at lima pa nitong miyembro sa Ma­guindanao kamakalawa ng umaga.

Ang mga nagsisukong bandido sa 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion (IB) na pinamumunuan ni Lt. Col. Cresencio Sanchez Jr. ay kinilalang sina Badtogan Amino alyas Amino/Boy Alas, sub-group leader ng paksyon ng Bungos at mga tauhan na sina Rasid Sangkali alyas “Kensi”, Nasrudin Talib alyas “Alex”, Mohammad Abdul Sama alyas “Abu Baida”, Khulo Amino alyas “Ulo” at Aladin Gaapar.

Sa ulat ni Joint Task Force (JTF) Central at Philippine Army-6th Infantry Division (ID) commander Major Gen. Juvymax Uy, ang anim na BIFF members ay nagsisuko dahil sa matinding military pressure.

Isinurender din ng mga bandido ang kanilang mga armas na kinabibilangan ng 81 MM mortar, isang modified M14, isang gawang lokal na cal.50 Barret, dalawang gawa ring lokal na 7.62 MM sniper rifles.

“This influx of BIFF surrender is a result of the continuing offensives coupled with the non-combat operations launched by the Joint Task Force Central,” pahayag naman ni Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr., commander ng AFP- Western Mindanao Command (AFP-Westmincom).
