MANILA, Philippines — Maagang idineklara kahapon ni Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno na ‘special non-working holiday’ sa Maynila ang Hunyo 30, ang araw ng inagurasyon ni President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na gaganapin sa National Museum.

Ito ay sa bisa ng Executive Order No. 53 na pinirmahan ni Moreno upang matiyak umano ang kaligtasan, seguridad at proteksyon ng mga dadalo sa naturang makasaysayang pangyayari.

“It is but fitting and proper that all citizens of the country, in general and residents of the City of Manila, in particular, be given full opportunity to witness and welcome this significant event in the life of the nation,” ayon pa sa executive order.

Bukod dito, kinakailangan rin na ipasara ang mga kalsada sa loob at paligid ng bisinidad ng inaugural venue, na tiyak na makakaapekto sa trapiko kaya kailangang ideklara na holiday ang event.

Inatasan ni Moreno ang Manila Police District (MPD) at lahat ng tagapagpatupad ng batas sa siyudad na mahigpit na ipatupad ang ‘security measures’ sa araw ng inagurasyon.

Bukod sa libu-libong tauhan ng PNP, magtatalaga rin ng mga tauhan ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) para magbantay.
