Lawyer-vlogger Trixie Cruz-Angeles itinalagang press secretary ni Marcos
MANILA, Philippines — Tinanggap na ni Rose Beatrix Cruz-Angeles, isang abogada, radio commentator at kilalang online vlogger, ang nominasyon niya bilang press secretary ni incoming President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Inanunsiyo ni Atty. Vic Rodriguez, incoming Executive Secretary ng bagong administrasyon, ang pagtanggap ni Cruz-Angeles sa kanyang nominasyon kung saan siya na rin ang magiging pinuno ng Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO).
“The primary task of Cruz-Angeles is to oversee the operations of the PCOO, which includes the conduct of regular press briefings to media practitioners covering Malacañang activities,” ani Rodriguez.
Nauna nang inihayag ni Marcos na hindi siya magtatalaga ng isang spokesperson kaya malilimitahan ang trabaho ng press secretary at magiging tagapagsalita lamang sa mga press briefings.
Nagpasalamat naman si Cruz-Angeles sa oportunidad na maging kabahagi ng administrasyon ni Marcos.
“I am grateful for the opportunity I am given to take part in the administration of President Bongbong Marcos as his Press Secretary. It is with humility that I accept the nomination and assume the responsibility of running the affairs of the PCOO,” pahayag ni Cruz-Angeles.
Kaugnay nito, inihayag ni Presidential Spokesman Martin Andanar na welcome sa Malacañang ang pagkakatalaga kay Cruz-Angeles bilang bagong press secretary.
Ayon pa kay Andanar, hindi na bago si Angeles sa PCOO dahil nagsilbi ito sa nasabing tanggapan noong bago pa ang administrasyong Duterte.
