Yulo malaki ang bonus sa POC
MANILA, Philippines — Si national gymnast Caloy Yulo ang may pinakamalaking matatanggap na cash incentives mula sa Philippine Olympic Committee’s (POC) Athletes’ Incentive Trust Fund.
Humakot ang two-time world champion ng dalawang golds sa men’s all-around at parallel bars at dalawang silvers sa rings at men’s team all-around ng nakaraang 32nd SEA Games sa Cambodia.
Si Yulo ay magbubulsa ng kabuuang cash bonus na P270,000 mula sa POC incentive program.
Sa ilalim ng programa, ang individual gold medalist ay bibigyan ng P100,000 habang P50,000 sa doubles at relay teams at P30,000 sa team.
Tatanggap ang silver medalist ng P50,000 habang P30,000 para sa doubles at P20,000 para sa relay at P30,000 para sa individual bronze medalist at P10,000 para sa doubles at relay.
“The athletes, particularly the medalists, deserve the reward and the POC will always be diligent on that,” sabi ni POC president Rep. Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino.
Ang P12.40 milyon ay ipapamahagi sa 260 atletang humakot ng 58 golds, 85 silvers at 117 bronzes sa 2023 Cambodia SEA Games.
Sa nasabing total bonus, ang P7.2 milyon ay mula sa Manuel V. Pangilinan Sports Foundation (MVPSF) at ang P5.2 milyon ay galing sa POC funds.
“The amount is from the generosity of MVPSF, Manny V. Pangilinan, through the efforts of (president) Al Panlilio,” dagdag ni Tolentino kay MVP na chairman ng board of trustees ng MVPSF.
Ang POC bonuses ay hiwalay sa insentibong galing sa Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) base sa Republic Act 10699 o ang National athletes and coaches Benefits and incentives Act.
