Baldwin humingi ng suporta
MANILA, Philippines — Nananawagan si Ateneo De Manila University head coach Tab Baldwin ng solidong suporta mula sa kanilang komunidad bukas sa MOA Arena sa Pasay City.
Ito ay para sa paghahamon ng Blue Eagles sa nagdedepensang University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons sa Game One ng UAAP Season 85 Finals.
“Here’s what I wanna say about the pressure that we might be feeling. I want MOA and Araneta to be chock full of blue in every potential seat that is available,” wika ni Baldwin, dating mentor ng Gilas Pilipinas.
Winakasan ng UP ang tatlong sunod na taong dominasyon ng Ateneo sa UAAP matapos pagharian ang nakaraang Season 84.
Naitakda ang finals rematch ng Blue Eagles at Fighting Maroons matapos manaig sa Final Four.
Sinibak ng No. 1 Ateneo ang No. 4 Adamson University, 81-60, habang pinatalsik naman ng No. 2 UP ang No. 3 National University, 68-61.
May 1-1 record ang Blue Eagles at Fighting Maroons sa elimination round.
“We need every single blue-blooded Filipino from around the world throwing every bit of weight they have behind this team,” sabi ni Baldwin sa Ateneo na muling pamumunuan ni naturalized center Ange Kouame. “Because that’s how much respect I have for UP, and that’s how good I think that team is.”
