MANILA, Philippines — Pinatunayan ng Philippines BEST (Behrouz Elite Swimming Team) tankers ang bagsik nito matapos humakot ng gintong medalya sa katatapos na UAAP Season 85 swimming tournament na ginanap sa Rizal Memorial swimming pool sa Vito Cruz, Manila.

Bitbit ang bandera ng University of Santo Tomas, nagpasiklab si Ivan Radovan sa kanyang u­nang kampanya sa UAAP matapos humakot ng apat na ginto, dalawang pilak at isang tanso.

Nakasikwat si Radovan ng ginto sa 800m freestyle, 400m freestyle at 200m butterfly habang bahagi ito ng 4x200m free relay na nakasiguro ng ginto at nagtala ng bagong UAAP record.

Pumangalawa naman si Radovan sa 100m butterfly at 1500m freestyle, at pangatlo sa 50m butterfly.

Matikas din ang debut ni Hugh Antonio Parto nang kumana ito ng apat na ginto at dalawang pilak na medalya.

Nakakuha ng dalawang individual gold si Parto sa 50m freestyle at 100m butterfly bago sumama sa UST quartet na guma­wa ng bagong rekord sa 4x200m freestyle relay at 4x100m freestyle relay.

Sumiguro pa ng pilak si Parto sa 50m butterfly at 200m butterfly.

Hindi rin nagpahuli si Yohan Mikhail Cabana na nakasiguro ng dalawang ginto sa 200m Individual Medley at sa 4x100 medley relay.

Humirit pa si Cabana ng pilak sa 200m backstroke, 100m backstroke at 50m backstroke.

Sa girls’ division, bahagi si Chloe Laurente ng naka­ginto sa 4x100m freestyle relay at 4x100m medley relay.
