MANILA, Philippines — Hindi matinag si Jermyn Prado sa pagiging reyna ng Philippine cycling matapos banderahan ang women’s road race (massed start) ng PhilCycling National Championships kahapon sa Tagaytay City.

Pumadyak ang 2019 Southeast Asian Games gold medalist ng bilis na tatlong oras, 21 minuto at 23 segundo para pangunahan ang 114-kilometer race.

Ito ang ikatlong gintong medalya ng 27-anyos na si Prado matapos pagreynahan ang criterium at individual time trial sa karerang inorganisa ni PhilCycling at Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Abraham ‘Bambol’ Tolentino.

Nanguna naman si Angelica Mae Altamirano sa women’s juniors road race (55kms) sa oras na 1:25:15 kasunod sina Lyca Angel Jacobe (1:25:43) at Althea Campana (1:25:44).

Naghari si Steven Aaron Cerezo (1:02:04) sa men’s youth division (55kms) matapos ungusan sina Kyle Christian Mendajao (1:02:06) at Lester de la Cruz (1:02:06).

Wagi rin si King Vincent Mercado (1:32:29) sa 74-km men’s junior race kasunod sina Khalil Sanchez (1:32:29) at Kien Ebojo (1:32:30).
