Philippine beach volley sasabak na!
MANILA, Philippines — Papalo na ngayon ang Philippine beach volleyball teams na magtatangkang humirit ng Tokyo Olympic berths sa Asian Volleyball Confederation Continental Cup sa Nakhom Pathom, Thailand.
Pangungunahan nina Sisi Rondina at Bernadeth Pons ang women’s team na sasabak laban sa powerhouse teams na Japan at New Zealand.
Haharap naman ang men’s team kontra sa Australia, Japan, Kazakhstan at Lebanon.
Maliban kina Rondina at Pons, masisilayan din sa aksyon sa women’s division sina Dij Rodriguez at Babylove Barbon habang lalarga sa men’s class sina Jaron Requinton at James Buytrago at sina Jude Garcia at Anthony Arbasto.
“In this set up, it’s a do or die game because one win, you’re in the final, and one loss, you’re out,” ani Rondina.
Beterano na sina Rondina at Pons na nakatansong medalya noong 2019 Southeast Asian Games na ginanap sa Subic.
Tiwala naman si Charo Soriano ang PNVF beach volleyball commission chairman, sa kampanya ng kanyang bataan.
“It’s really a collaborative effort among the PSC, PNVF, Rebisco, Taguig City, Ilocos Norte and all those who are supporting the sport,” ani Soriano.
