SoKor may bagitong players din sa lineup

MANILA, Philippines — Gaya ng Gilas Pilipinas, ilang bagitong players din ang ipaparada ng South Korea sa FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers na lalarga sa Hunyo 16 hanggang 20 sa Clark, Pampanga.

Kabilang sa mga isinama ng South Korea sa lineup sina Lee Hyun-Jung na may taas na 6-foot-7 at Yeo Jun-Seok na isang 6-foot-8 player.

Nasa second year college na ang 20-anyos na si Lee sa Davidson College samantalahang MVP naman si Yeo sa 2019 Basketball Without Borders Asia Camp.

Sina Lee at Yeo ang inaasahang susunod sa yapak ng mga veteran players sa South Korea sa pangunguna nina Ra Gun-A, Lee Dae-sung at Lee Jung-hyun.

“As this team got much younger compared to the previous group of players, I am looking forward to see a lot of energy on the court. That means energetic and sticky pressure on the opponent for the defense and fast-paced, strong attack to the rim for the offense,” ani South Korea head coach Cho Sang-Hyun.

Parehong bahagi sina Lee at Yeo ng South Korean youth team na sumabak sa 2018 Fiba Under-18 Asian Championship.

Dalawang beses makakasagupa ng Gilas Pilipinas ang South Korea — sa Hunyo 16 at sa Hunyo 20.
