Mika lumahok din sa jersey auction

MANILA, Philippines — Nakibahagi na si dating De La Salle University star Mika Reyes sa humahabang listahan ng mga lumahok sa jersey auction na naglalayong makalikom ng pondo para sa personal protective equipment (PPEs) ng mga frontliners.

Ipapa-auction ni Reyes ang kanyang jersey sa Sta. Lucia Realty na ginamit nito sa 2020 Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix na nakansela dahil sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

Maliban kay Reyes, magbabahagi rin ng jersey ang teammates nito sa Sta. Lucia na sina Pam Lastimosa, Bang Pineda, Djanel Cheng, Ruby De Leon, Amy Ahomiro,  Marge Tejada, Honey Royse Tubino at Alexandria Bollier.

Extended hanggang sa April 3 ang auction para mabigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga fans na makapili ng jersey na kukunin nito.

“The following players have graciously pledged their 2020 Grand Prix jersey to help us fund more PPEs for our frontliners. Please place your bids on the photo of the jersey of your choice! If you don’t win, we hope you can still donate to our cause,” ayon sa post.

Si dating Ateneo de Manila University playmaker Jia Morado ang nagpasimuno ng fundraising kung saan ipina-auction nito ang kanyang jersey na ginamit noong naglalaro pa ito para sa Lady Eagles sa UAAP.

“At the end of the day, our goal is easiest attained when we work as a team. Thank you (Sta. Lucia Realtors) for reaching ourand playing your part in our cause to help our frontliners,” ani Morado.

Maliban kay Morado, nakibahagi rin sina dating UAAP MVP Ara Galang, at University of Santo Tomas players Eya Laure, Imee Hernandez, Maji Mangulabnan at Janna Torres.

Maliban sa jersey auction, may hiwalay na fundraising din ang grupo ni Morado na bukas sa lahat ng nagnanais mag-donate.

Sa huling post ng grupo ni Morado, umabot na sa mahigit P265,000 ang nalikom na pondo.
