Pagkakaisa panawagan ni Tolentino

MANILA, Philippines — Nanawagan ng pagkakaisa si Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Abraham Tolentino kahapon sa hosting ng bansa sa 30th Southeast Asian Games na pormal na magbubukas sa Sabado sa Philippine Arena sa Bocaue, Bulacan.

Pinaalalahanan ni Ta­gaytay City Congressman Tolentino na nasa ika-apat na SEAG hosting ng bansa-- ang una ay noong 1981 at sinundan noong 1991 at 2005.  Ang susunod na hosting ng bansa sa b­iennial meet ay mahigit sampung taon mula nga­yon, ayon kay Tolentino.

“Remember, the next time we will host this could be in 2030. So, let’s not pull each other down. This is for the country,” sabi ni Tolentino sa PSA Forum sa Amelie Hotel Manila.

Pinupuna ng marami ang mga umanong palpak na mga pangyayari hinggil sa accomodation, transportasyon at iba pang mga kailangan ng mga de­legado mula sa iba’t ibang bansa ng rehiyon.

“We all make mistakes that’s why we should work together. Those in the social media, the netizens, let’s move on first with our hosting,” dagdag ni Tolentino na siya rin ang president ng Philippine cycling.

“It’s normal. I’ve experienced that myself,” pahayag ni Tolentino.

Ang importante sa ngayon ay susuportahan din ng buong bansa ang mga atletang Filipino na sasabak sa SEA Games.

“Let’s just focus on our athletes. With this, my statement will be not only for us to ‘we win as one’ but ‘we stand as one’ in hosting this SEA Games. All these problems have solutions, and they are being addressed and being solved,” aniya.
