Pinoy tankers palaban para sa SEAG gold

MANILA, Philippines — May sapat na kakayahan ang Philippine swimming team para kumuha ng gintong medalya sa darating na 30th Southeast Asian Games.

Sina Nicole Oliva, Luke Gebbie, Remedy Rule at James Deiparine, sumabak sa nakaraang Fina World Championships, ang mamumuno sa 27-man national squad sa 2019 SEA Games.

Aasahan din ng bansa para sa gold medal sa aquatics competitions na gagawin sa Fina-approved New Clark City Aquatics Center sa Capas, Tarlac sina Olympians Jessie K­hing Lacuna at Jasmine Alkhaldi at homegrown ta­lents Jerald Jacinto, Rafael at Miguel Barreto.

Si multiple gold-winner Miguel Molina ang hu­ling nagbigay ng gintong medalya sa bansa noong 2009 SEA Games sa Laos kasunod ang kanyang pagreretiro.

Magpipilit ding maka­pag­bigay ng medalya sina dating Palarong Pambansa standouts Xiandi Chua, Maurice Sacho Ilustre, Youth Olympian Roxanne Yu, Rosalee Santa Ana, Chloe Isleta at Thanya Dela Cruz.

Nakasama rin sa national team sina Alberto Batungbacal, Jonathan Cook, Jarod Hatch, Jean-Pierre Khouzam at Jaden Olson matapos manguna sa kanilang mga events sa katatapos na Philippine Swimming National Open sa NCC.

Lalangoy din sa 2019 SEA Games sina Rian Tirol, Desirae Mangaong, Jazlynn Pak, Joy Rod­gers, Miranda Renner at Australian siblings Georgia at Thomas Peregrina.
