Batang Pinoy National Finals sisikad na

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan -- Humigit-kumulang sa 6,000 atleta ang inaasahang sasabak sa kabuuang 31 sports event sa 2019 Philippine Sports Commission-Batang Pinoy National Championships dito.

Nangako si Mayor Lucio Bayron na magiging matagumpay ang kanilang pamamahala sa nasabing sports event para sa mga batang may edad 15-anyos pababa.

Ang Baguio City ang hinirang na overall champion ng Batang Pinoy National Finals noong 2018 na kanila ding pinamahalaan.

Humakot ang Baguio City ng kabuuang 83 gold, 81 silver at 107 bronze medals para angkinin ang korona kasunod ang Cebu City (36-40-44) at Laguna (34-13-31).

Ang mga sports na nakalatag ay ang archery, arnis, athletics, badminton, baseball, basketball, bo-xing, chess, dancesport, futsal, karatedo, lawn tennis, pencak silat, sepak takraw, softball, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, indoor at beach volleyball.

May 1,066 atleta naman ang diretso nang sasabak sa finals ng cycling, gymnastics, judo, billiards, muay, rugby football, triathlon, soft tennis, weightlif-ting, wrestling at wushu.

Nagtalaga na ang PSC ng 10 billeting areas para sa mga delegasyon mula sa 234 local government units.

Samantala, kagaya ng inaasahan ay magdo-donate ang PSC ng P16 milyon na halaga ng mga sports equipment sa Puerto Princesa City bilang bahagi ng kanilang cooperation agreement.

Ipapatupad din ng PSC sa Batang Pinoy Nationals Finals ang ‘Zero Plastic Policy’ base sa Presidential Proclamation No. 760 of 2014 at Republic Act  9003 na kilala din bilang “Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000.”
