Tolentino inisnab ng Exec. Board

MANILA, Philippines — Simula na ng pagsakit ng ulo ni bagong Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino.

Ito ay matapos isnabin ng mga miyembro ng POC Executive Board ang ipina­tawag niyang pulong kaha­pon kung saan tanging si POC chairman Steve Hon­tiveros ang dumating.

“The executive board meeting was called immediately after last Sunday’s elections, therefore it is wi­thin bounds of the POC po­licies,” wika ni Tolentino.

Ang POC president o chairman ay maaaring tu­mawag ng legitimate exe­cutive board meeting sa isang five-day notice.

Isang 10-day notice naman ang kailangan para sa isang General Assembly.

“Therefore, the meeting was called ‘not on short notice,” ani Tolentino, magta­takda ng POC General As­sembly sa Agosto 13 sa Dia­mond Ho­tel sa Roxas Bou­levard para ayusin ang na­sabing is­yu. “I will be bri­nging this issue to the GA.”

Determinado si Tolenti­no, pumalit sa nagbitiw na si Ricky Vargas, na linisin ang hanay ng POC.

Maliban kina Tolentino at Hontiveros, ang ibang du­malo sa pulong ay sina Var­gas, reinstated secreta­ry general Patrick Gregorio at board member Cynthia Carrion.

Samantala, hinirang naman ni Tolentino sa kanilang mga puwesto sina Gregorio bilang deputy, Richard Go­mez at Col. Managuelod (mem­bership), Atty. Agra at Atty. Billy Sumagui (legal) at Var­gas (constitutional commission).
