“It will be a test for Blackwater,” sabi ni coach Bong Ramos sa koponang iginiya niya sa franchise-best na sixth place finish noong 2018 Governors’ Cup. “We will see on what level are we at this stage after the off-season preparation.”

Sa ikalawang laro, muli namang sasandalan ng Meralco sina veterans Ranidel de Ocampo, Jared Dillinger at Cliff Hodge katuwang sina Baser Amer at Chris Newsome at kasama sina rookies Trevis Jackson at Kier John Quinto at free agent recruit Gabby Espinas.

“We’re healthy for the first time in four years,” sabi ni coach Norman Black sa kanyang Bolts. “It’s interesting to see how we start this conference and play the entire tourney where we put our best players on the floor.”

Aasahan naman ng Fuel Masters sina shooter Matthew Wright, small forward Calvin Abueva, 2018 PBA Rookie of the Year Jason Perkins, RJ Jazul, JC Intal, Doug Kramer, LA Revilla at Willy Wilson.

“The initial goal is to make the playoffs and we’ll see what we can do from there,” wika ni Phoenix mentor Louie Alas.
