MANILA, Philippines — Nakakolekta ang Philip­pine Swimming League (PSL) ng kabuuang 33 gin­to, 35 pilak at 12 tansong medalya para masungkit ang overall championship sa 2018 Tokyo Invitational Swimming Championship sa St. Mary’s International School swimming pool sa Tokyo, Japan.

Siyam na Pinoy tankers ang itinanghal na Most Outstanding Swimmer (MOS) sa kanya-kanyang kategor­ya sa pangunguna ni Susan Papa Swim Academy pro­duct Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh na nagreyna sa girls’ 11-12 division at West Manila Christian School tan­ker Aishel Cid Evange­lis­ta na naghari naman sa boys’ 8-under class.

Sumisid si Mojdeh ng wa­­long ginto tampok ang apat na bagong rekord sa 100m butterfly (1:04.68), 50m butterfly (29.91), 100m breaststroke (1:17.06) at 200m IM (2:28.93).

Namayagpag pa si Mojdeh sa 50m breaststroke at 100m IM, habang naging ba­hagi siya ng PSL team na nakaginto sa 200m med­ley relay at 200m freestyle relay.

Bidang-bida rin si Evan­ge­lista na bumura ng apat na rekord sa 25m freestyle (15.79), 100m freestyle (1:12.17), 50m freestyle (33.48) at 25m backstroke (18.57) kasama pa ang mga ginto sa 50m breaststroke at 100m IM.

“It was a job well done. These kids have been wor­king hard before the com­pe­tition. They put pressure on themselves and hard work pays off. It was a good ex­posure for these young swimmers to develop their skills,” wika ni PSL president Susan Papa.

Sa kabuuan ay humakot ang Pinoy squad ng 905 puntos para sa titulo.
