Slaughter susi ng Ginebra sa unang panalo

MANILA, Philippines - Nakamit ng Barangay Ginebra ang kanilang unang panalo sa ilalim ni two-time PBA Grand Slam coach champion Tim Cone.

Ngunit ayon kay seven-foot center Greg Slaughter, marami pang dapat gawin ang Gin Kings para maging palaban sa kasalukuyang 2015 PBA Philippine Cup.

“We just need to come out with a defensive mindset. Coach has been telling us to come out with our A-game because every team will always come out with their best,” wika ng 27-anyos na slotman.

Kumamada si Slaughter ng 27 points at 19 rebounds para sa 93-92 pagtakas ng Ginebra laban sa Alaska noong nakaraang Sabado sa Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Ang dalawang free throws ni Slaughter sa nalalabing 4.1 segundo ang sumelyo sa panalo ng Gin Kings laban sa Aces.

Sa unang tatlong laro ng Ginebra ay humakot ang dating PBA Rookie of the  Year awardee ng mga averages na 27.3 points at 20.3 rebounds, .

Sapat na ito pati ang panalo sa Alaska para kilalanin si Slaughter bilang Accel-PBA Press Corps. Player of the Week.

Inungusan ni Slaughter para sa weekly honor sina Stanley Pringle ng Globalport, Blackwater guard Carlo Lastimosa at Peter June Simon ng Star.
