Floyd inalok ng $120M para labanan si Pacman

MANILA, Philippines – Desidido ang isang investment group mula Abu Dhabi ng United Arab Emirates para mangyari ang pinakahihintay na laban sa pagitan nina Manny Pacquiao at Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Ipinakita ng grupong pinangungunahan ni M. Akbar Muhammad ang masidhing interes sa laban nang ihayag na $120 million ang kanilang alok kay Mayweather para labanan ang Pambansang kamao.

Ang alok ay mas mataas ng $10 million na unang sinabi ni Muhammad.

“Mr. Mayweather has said he’ll fight Pacquiao in the spring, so the only matter that needs to be resolved is the money,” wika ni Muhammad sa Boxingscene.com.

Ang $120 million offer ang pinakamalaking alok sa isang atleta sa palakasan kaya’t walang nakikitang dahilan si Muhammad para  hindi kagatin ito ni Mayweather.

“That said, I defy any other offer to come anywhere close to what Mr. Mayweather and the ‘Money  Team’ will net by fighting in Abu Dhabi.” dagdag pa ni Mohammad. “This ($120m) dwarfs by far any amount an individual in the richest sports – baseball, football, basketball, soccer, cricket, tennis, golf and Formula 1 racing-- had ever achieved. This is in keeping with my instruction, to do whatever it takes to make this fight happen.”

Mismong si Mayweather ang nasabi na nais niyang makaharap si Pacquiao sa Mayo 2 para matuwa  ang mga panatiko ng boxing na noon pa nananawagan na magtapat ang dalawang kinikilalang pound-for-pound sa boxing.

Pursigido ang grupo na sa Abu Dhabi gawin ang laban para maipakita rin na ang lugar ay kayang makapagdaos ng malalaking laban at puwedeng maging pamalit sa Las Vegas.

Si Muhammad na president at chief operating officer ng Akbar Promotions, LLC sa New Jersey, ay dating nagtrabaho kay Don King  bukod sa karanasan na maging manager ng limang world champion at dalawang Olympic gold medalists.
