Si Dozier ang Best Import Tenorio Best Player

MANILA, Philippines - Mula sa kanyang pina­kamataas na statistical points total na 480 points, hinirang si Barangay Ginebra pointguard Lewis Alfred Tenorio bilang Best Player of the Conference ng 2013 PBA Commissioner’s Cup kagabi sa Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Nakahugot ang 5-foot-8 na si Tenorio ng kabuuang 1,125 boto para talunin sina rookie Calvin Abueva (861) at JVee Casio (514) ng Alaska, Jayson Castro (416) ng Talk ‘N Text at Gary David (402) ng Globalport.

Tumapos ang 28-an­yos na si Tenorio na may pinakamataas na statistical points total na 480 points mula sa kanyang 28.3 SPs a game sa likod ng kanyang mga averages na 13.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.9 steals at 0.1 block para sa Gin Kings.

Idinagdag ni Tenorio ang BPC plum sa kanyang 2010 Most Improved Pla­yer award, 2010 Mythical First Team citation,  2010 Fiesta Conference Finals co-MVP honors at 2012 Williams Jones Cup MVP trophy.

Si Abueva ang naging pinakamahigpit na kalaban ni Tenorio, hinirang na fourth overall pick ng San Miguel noong 2006 PBA Draft, para sa BPC award.

Nagposte ang 6-foot-3 na si Abueva ng 401 total SP o average na 25.5 a game mula sa kanyang mga averages na 11.7 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals at 0.7 blocks para sa Aces.

Kung nanalo, si Abueva sana ang naging ikatlong rookie na nanalo ng BPC award matapos sina Eric Menk at Danny Seigle noong 1999.

Kagaya ng dapat asa­han, napasakamay ni Ro­bert Dozier ng Alaska ang Best Import award o ang ‘Bobby Parks Trophy’ matapos makatanggap ng 1,233 boto kumpara sa 926 ni Vernon Macklin ng Ginebra, 644 ni 2012 Best Import Denzel Bowles ng San Mig Coffee at 515 ni Tony Mit­chell  ng Talk ‘N Text.
