MANILA, Philippines — Aabot sa 8,000 pulis ang ikakalat ng Philippine National Police (PNP) sa paggunita sa anibersaryo ng EDSA People Power sa Pebrero 25.

Ayon kay PNP Public Information Office Chief, PCol. Randulf Tuaño, ang mga pulis na manggagaling sa National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) ay binubuo ng Regional Mobile Force Battalion at  limang Police District Offices na kinabibilangan ng Quezon City Police District, Manila Police District, Eastern Police District, Southern Police District at Northern Police District.

Gayunman, sinabi ni Tuaño na wala pa silang  natatanggap na abiso mula sa mga grupo na magsasagawa ng rally. Aniya, tinitiyak lang ng PNP ang kanilang kahandaan sa mga ganitong uri ng sitwasyon.

Mahigpit pa ring paiiralin ang maximun tolerance laban sa mga raliyista.

Samantala, idi­neklara ng University of Santo Tomas ang “no classes” at “no work” sa unibersidad sa Pebrero 25 bagama’t inihayag na ng Malakanyang na “special working day” na lamang ito.
