MANILA, Philippines — Bumaba sa 5 percent ang one-week growth rate ng COVID-19 sa National Capital Region (NCR), ayon sa independent monitoring group OCTA Research Group.

Sa kanyang tweet, sinabi ni Dr. Guido David ng OCTA Group na  ang growth rate ng NCR nitong Martes ay 5 percent na lamang makaraang makapagtala ng 828 na bagong kaso ng COVID-19.

Mas mababa ito ng 14 percent kung ikukumpara sa naitalang growth rate sa NCR noong Agosto 2.

Bukod dito, bumaba rin sa 1.17 ang reproduction number ng NCR kumpara sa 1.24 nitong nakaraang linggo, samantalang ang one-week positivity rate ng NCR ay nagtala ng 17.4 percent.

“This once again gives us hope that the peak of the wave in the NCR may occur by next week (no guarantees, of course),” ani David.

Iginiit din ni David na ang seven-day COVID-19 case ng NCR ay bahagyang tumaas sa 1,275. Umabot na rin ang average daily attack rate (ADAR) sa 8.85 kada 100,000 population.

Samantala, pumalo naman ang healthcare utilization rate sa NCR sa 35.7 percent, habang bahagyang tumaas ang intensive care unit (ICU) occupancy sa 31 percent.
