‘BGC nasa ilalim pa rin ng aming hurisdiksyon’ - Makati LGU
MANILA, Philippines — Inihayag kahapon ng Makati City government na nasa ilalim pa rin ng kanilang hurisdiksyon ang Bonifacio Global City Complex at ilan pang barangay sa gitna ng naging desisyon ng Korte Suprema na teritoryo ito ng Taguig City.
Sa naging kautusan ng Supreme Court na inilabas noong Abril 27, na ipinonente ni Associate Justice Ricardo Rosario, batay sa historical, documentary, at testimonial evidence, ang mga pinagtatalunang lugar, na kinabibilangan ng Bonifacio Global City Complex at ilang barangay sa Makati, ay nasa territorial jurisdiction ng Taguig City.
Ayon sa Viber message ni Makati City Legal Officer and Spokesperson Atty. Michael Camiña, hindi pa nila natatanggap ang opisyal na kopya ng nasabing desisyon.
Magbibigay aniya, sila ng pahayag sa tamang panahon.
“At this point, we just want to reiterate that the City will continue to protect its geographical integrity and shall pursue all available legal remedies for the best interest of the Makatizens to ensure that this is realized,”aniya pa.
Sa desisyon na isinulat ni Associate Justice Ricardo R. Rosario, idineklara ng SC na permanente ang 1994 injunction na inilabas ng Pasig City RTC (Regional Trial Court) na nagpahinto sa pamahalaan ng Makati City “from exercising jurisdiction over, making improvements on, or otherwise treating as part of its territory Parcels 3 and 4, Psu-2031, comprising Fort Bonifacio, including the so-called Inner Fort comprising of Barangays Pembo, Comembo, Cembo, South Cembo, West Rembo, East Rembo and Pitogo.”
