2 bar sa Makati, ipinadlock

MANILA, Philippines — Ipinasara kahapon ng Makati City government ang dalawang high-end bars na sinalakay nitong Biyernes  sa paglabag sa general community quarantine protocols.

Ipinadlock ng Makati Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) ang Movida Fashion Food + Club at ang Royal Club, na parehong matatagpuan sa General Luna St., at Burgos St., sa Barangay Poblacion, Makati City.

Ito’y matapos iutos ni ­Mayor Abby Binay, kaugnay sa patuloy na crackdown sa mga lumalabag sa health protocols.

Ipinababawi rin ni Binay sa dalawang restobars ang business permit matapos mapatunayang nag-operate pa kahit curfew hours na at pinayagan ang mga kliyente nila na labagin ang health at safety protocols .

Binalaan din ni Binay ang iba pang commercial establishments sa lungsod na hindi sasantuhin ang mga lalabag dito.

“We are alarmed by the blatant disregard for the law and cavalier attitude shown by these establishments and their clients. Let me remind everyone that we are still in a pandemic. With the presence of new variants, we need to remain vigilant and observe safety protocols at all times,” ani Mayor Abby.

“I will not hesitate to shut down establishments that violate safety rules. Safety comes first. People’s lives are at stake here,” aniya pa.

Matatandaang sinalakay ang dalawang resto bars ng Poblacion Police Community Precinct nang humingi ng assistance ang Makati Public Safety Department dahil sa nasaksihang walang social distancing ang mga kustomer.

Nasa 70 ang sinitang kostumer na pawang tinikitan lang para sa multang tig P1-libo sa paglabag sa ordinansa ng lungsod.
