Motorcycle taxis, muling aarangkada

MANILA, Philippines — Magbabalik-pasada simula bukas (nob. 23) ang mga motorcycle taxis kabilang ang Angkas, JoyRide at MoveIt.
Ito ang inihayag kahapon ng pamunuan ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) sa muling pag-arangkada muli bilang pilot study ang biyahe ng motorcycle taxis.
Ayon sa LTO, nagbigay na ng kautusan si Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade na ipagpatuloy muli ang biyahe ng mga ito.
“In compliance with the directive of Secretary Arthur P. Tugade of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the pilot run for the motorcycle taxi will resume on 23 November 2020, subject to the compliance of the three (3) participating groups, Angkas, Move It, and JoyRide, to the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) - National Task Force (NTF) COVID19 issued guidelines,” anunsiyo pa ng LTO.
Matatandaang noong Marso ay sinuspinde ang trial dahil sa pananalasa ng pandemya ng coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) sa bansa.
Noong nakaraang buwan naman, iniendorso ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on COVID-19 na ipagpatuloy na ang naturang pilot study. Gayunman, mahigpit na paiiralin ang heatlh protocols kabilang ang barrier at pagdadala ng nga pasahero nito ng sariling helmet. Layunin nito na mas marami pang pasahero ang maserbisyuhan.
