Quezon City at Grab, kapit-bisig sa pagbibigay ng trabaho

MANILA, Philippines — Kapit-bisig na ngayon ang Quezon City government at ang Grab Philippines para pagkalooban ng pagkakakitaan ang mga displaced wor­kers, tricycle drivers, at maliliit na negosyo para palakasin ang economic at employment activities sa lungsod.

Ito ay makaraang lumagda sa kasunduan ang lokal na pamahalaan at ang Grab Philippines para palakasin ang GrabBayanihan program na magkakaloob ng hanapbuhay sa mga taga-QC sa panahon ng pandemic.

“As we transition to the new normal, one of our priorities is to address the needs of our residents whose sources of income were badly affected. Through GrabBayanihan, we will be able to provide jobs for our residents and in return, they can continue to provide for their families,” pahayag ni  QC Mayor Joy Belmonte .

Sinabi ni Belmonte na ang partnerships sa digital platforms ay bahagi ng kanilang recovery plan na suportahan ang micro at small entrepreneurs at makalikha ng livelihood opportunities sa mga taga- QC.

“With responsible use of technology as well as our enduring partnership with the Quezon City Government, we hope to continue helping our kababayans in Quezon City who have been greatly affected by the pandemic, get back on their feet through the many livelihood opportunities available on our Grab platform,” pahayag naman ni Grab Philippines President Brian Cu .

Pinasalamatan din ni Cu ang tiwala na naipagkaloob sa kanila ng lokal na pamahalaan na maging katuwang sa pagbibigay ng dagdag na pagkakakitaan sa mga taga-lungsod sa panahon ng pandemic.

May  500 displaced workers at tricycle drivers  ang sasanayin sa ilalim ng programang ito para maging GrabFood at GrabExpress delivery-partners habang  500 small businesses ay pagkakalooban ng market access sa pamamagitan ng Grab app.
