Ito ang tahasang ipinunto ni dating DILG Sec. Rafael M. Alunan III kung saan partikular na tinukoy nito ang naging pamamaslang sa bowling coach at gold medalist noong 1992 World Youth Championship na si Angelo Nathaniel Constantino sa isang bowling center sa Greenhills, San Juan City nitong nagdaang Biyernes.

MANILA, Philippines — Wala na umanong bangis o kabagsikan ang batas na hindi na kinatatakutan ng mga kriminal.

Ito ang tahasang ipinunto ni dating DILG Sec. Rafael M. Alunan III kung saan partikular na tinukoy nito ang naging pamamaslang sa bowling coach  at  gold medalist noong 1992 World Youth Championship na si Angelo Nathaniel Constantino sa isang bowling center sa Greenhills, San Juan City nitong nagdaang Biyernes.

“A culture of impunity has gripped society. Our laws are either obsolete, weak or toothless.. Justice is either delayed or denied,” saad ni Alunan.

Ipinunto nito na ang batas sa kriminalidad at terorismo tulad ng Revised Penalty Code at ang Human Security Act ay dapat na mapalakas at pabigatin ang mga sentensiyang kaparusahan sa iba’t ibang mga krimen.

Sa crimes against humanity tulad ng murder, drugs, terrorism, plunder, ecological destruction at human trafficking ay kinakaila­ngan aniya na muling ibalik ang bitay o ang death pe­nalty.

“Criminal risk reduction, law enforcement and no-nonsense swift justice must step up now. Peace and order is a prerequisite for development. The lack of it contributes to our divisions resulting in the never ending cycle of violence and armed insurgencies,” pagpupunto ni Alunan.
