MANILA, Philippines — Celebrities took to social media to air out their frustration regarding the water shortage in some parts of Metro Manila.

In his Facebook account, Kapamilya host and talent manager Ogie Diaz called out aspiring senators to start helping now.

“Sa mga tumatakbong Senador, kung gusto nyong iayos ang buhay ng mahihirap, umpisahan niyo. Magparasyon kayo ng tubig,” Ogie wrote.

Another Kapamilya artist, Pokwang, commented on the issue in a comic way by sharing and reenacting a news clip of a woman complaining regarding the water shortage, saying their private parts will stink because of the problem.

“So pano na nga ha NAWASA?? Pano????? KATARUNGAN PARA SA MGA KI*#%¥ paki swipe please.... Kung buhay pa si Chokie tawang tawa sya im sure okyarin nananmin ako non at ang hash tag nya lam na!!!!” Pokwang said.

Comedian Ethel Booba shared a statement from Finance Secretary Sonny Dominguez saying the water crisis in Eastern Metro Manila strengthens the case for the faster construction of the China-funded Kaliwa Dam Project.

“If this is true & if we really need this dam in the future since business & population are growing then explain it properly. People will understand if they foresee a water crisis sa ddating na panahon. Di yung bibiglain ngayon hirap kaya maligo lalo na pag dove ang sabon. Charot!” Ethel said.

Singer Janno Gibbs, meanwhile, posted a photo on his Instagram account with the caption: “Janno iGibbs #walangtubig. Nagi-iGibbs ng tubig!”
