Celebrities share their #WalangTubig experience
MANILA, Philippines — Celebrities took to social media to air out their frustration regarding the water shortage in some parts of Metro Manila.
In his Facebook account, Kapamilya host and talent manager Ogie Diaz called out aspiring senators to start helping now.
“Sa mga tumatakbong Senador, kung gusto nyong iayos ang buhay ng mahihirap, umpisahan niyo. Magparasyon kayo ng tubig,” Ogie wrote.
Another Kapamilya artist, Pokwang, commented on the issue in a comic way by sharing and reenacting a news clip of a woman complaining regarding the water shortage, saying their private parts will stink because of the problem.
“So pano na nga ha NAWASA?? Pano????? KATARUNGAN PARA SA MGA KI*#%¥ paki swipe please.... Kung buhay pa si Chokie tawang tawa sya im sure okyarin nananmin ako non at ang hash tag nya lam na!!!!” Pokwang said.
Kapuso comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas shared a schedule of the water interruptions, saying: “Lakas maka 4th world na hehe -- hay naku ang pilipinas nateng mahal ano na nga.”
Comedian Ethel Booba shared a statement from Finance Secretary Sonny Dominguez saying the water crisis in Eastern Metro Manila strengthens the case for the faster construction of the China-funded Kaliwa Dam Project.

Singer Janno Gibbs, meanwhile, posted a photo on his Instagram account with the caption: “Janno iGibbs #walangtubig. Nagi-iGibbs ng tubig!”
Kapamilya host Bianca Gonzalez also posted a photo on her Twitter account, implying that her husband JC Intal had to borrow water “from his parents’ house.”
