One dead, another injured in fall during 'Wowowin' taping

MANILA, Philippines — A woman died and another was injured after falling during the taping of GMA show "Wowowin" on Tuesday.

GMA Network and host Willie Revillame's WBR Entertainment said in a statement that the two "were at the bleachers of the studio, lost their balance while singing and dancing during the opening act" at the taping on January 22.

They said Estrella Bognot hit her head on a fire extinguisher while Milagros Espiritu suffered a fracture.

The two were "immediately attended to by the in-house paramedic of WBR Entertainment and rushed to nearby Delgado Hospital."

"WBR Entertainment and GMA Network deeply commiserate with, and extended immediate assistance to, the families and loved ones of the victims," the companies also said. — Jonathan De Santos
