MANILA, Philippines — May napili na si President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na mga kalihim para sa Department of Finance, Department of Trade and Industry at Department of Public Works and Highway.

Ayon kay Marcos, uupo sa DOF si Benjamin Diokno, na kasalukuyang namumuno sa Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). Papalitan si Diokno ni Felipe Medalla.

Si dating University of the Philippines (UP) President Alfred Pascual ang uupo bilang kalihim ng DTI habang si Manny Bonoan sa DPWH.

“He (Bonoan) has spent almost his entire professional life in the DPWH. I know him very well so I think he will do... I know he will do a good job. Those are the things we have decided,” ani Marcos.

Sa kasalukuyan, si Bonoan ang pangulo at chief executive officer (CEO) ng SMC Tollways at naging undersecretary rin sa DPWH noong administrasyong Estrada at Arroyo.

Hinirang naman ni Marcos si dating Davao del Norte Rep. Anton Lagdameo bilang Special Assistant to the President.

Inalok din niya sina Cong. Dante Marcoleta at Prof. Clarita Carlos na sumama sa kanyang Gabinete pero wala pang pinal na posisyon ang mga ito.

Ang pagbuo ng bagong economic team ay krusyal sa bagong administrasyon dahil nahaharap ang Pilipinas sa inflation at mataas na pagkakautang sa Gross Domestic Product (GDP) ratio na nasa 63.5%.

Sa kasalukuyan ay kalihim na lamang ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ang kailangan para mabuo ang economic team ni Marcos.
