Terror alert sa Pinas ‘wag ikaalarma – PCG

MANILA, Philippines — Walang dapat ikaalarma ang mga Pilipino kaugnay ng inilabas ng Japan na “terror attack advisory” sa anim na mga bansa sa Southeast Asia kabilang na ang Pilipinas.

Sinabi ni Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant Vice Admiral Leopoldo Laroya na mahigpit ang pagbabantay nila sa mga hangganan ng bansa sa pamamagitan ng ‘seaborne patrol operations’, at pagbabantay sa mga sasakyang pandagat at mga daungan.

“With the latest pronouncement of the Japan Embassy, rest assured that our men and women will not put their guards down and will continue to be vigilant in conducting precautionary measures for public safety,” ayon kay Laroya.

Patuloy umano ang kanilang pakikipag-ugnayan sa National Intelligence Committee, Anti-Terrorism Council, AFP at PNP ukol sa mga isyu sa national security at kaligtasan ng publiko.

“As the third armed service of the country, the PCG never takes a break in upholding maritime security and ensuring the safety of fishermen and other mariners venturing into our maritime jurisdiction,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.
