10-araw ng 'national mourning' para kay PNoy nilagdaan ni Duterte
MANILA, Philippines — Pirmado na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang "10 araw ng pagkukulsa" sa pagpanaw ni dating Pangulong Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III.
Huwebes nang bawian ng buhay si Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III sa Capitol Medical Center sa Lungsod ng Quezon sanhi ng renal disease secondary to diabetes. Siya'y 61-anyos.
"[I]t is fitting to devote a period of national mourning to pay tribute to a respected leader who left a lasting legacy to the Filipino people," sabi ni Duterte sa kanyang Proclamation 1169, Huwebes.
"NOW, THEREFORE, I, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, PResident of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution and existing laws, do hereby declare 24 June 2021 to 03 July 2021 as a Period of National Mourning over the passing of former President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III."

Aniya, alinsunod na rin ito sa Section 23(a), Chapter 1 ng Republic Act 8491 bilang pagkilala sa pagkamatay ng isang dating pangulo ng republika.
Kaugnay nito, 10 araw na naka-"half mast" ang watawat sa lahat ng gusali't installations ng gobyerno sa buong Pilipinas at ibayong-dagat.
Una na ring naglabas ng pahayag ng pakikiramay si Digong nitong Huwebes bilang pagkilala sa ambag ni Noynoy bilang state leader — kahit paulit-ulit nang binabanatan ni Duterte ang nakaraang administrasyon ni Aquino sampu ng mga miyembro ng partido niyang Liberal Party.
"Let us talke this opportunity to unite in prayer and set aside our differences as we pay respects to a leader who has given his best to serve the Filipino people," saad pa ni Duterte.
"His memory and his family's legacy of offering their lives for the cause of democracy will forever remain etched in our hearts."

Sinasabi ito ni Duterte kahit na kilalang malapit siya at in-endorso sa mga nakaraang eleksyon sina Sen. Imee Marcos at dating Sen. Bongbong Marcos, na pare-parehong anak ng yumaong diktador na si Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
Kilalang kritiko ng mga Marcos ang pamilya Aquino, sa pangunguna na noon ng ama ni Noynoy na si Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. at dating Pangulong Corazon "Cory" Aquino.
