NTC nahigitan ng P2.6 bilyon ang target collection sa 2020

MANILA, Philippines — Lumagpas sa target collection ang halagang nakolekta ng National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) noong nakalipas na taong 2020.

Sa ulat ng NTC, umabot sa P7.711 bilyon ang aktuwal na naging koleksyon nila para sa buong 2020. Lagpas ito ng P2.68 bilyon o 53.44 porsyento sa kanilang target na P5.025 bilyon.

Ito na ang ikalimang sunod na taon sa ilalim ng kasaluku­yang administrasyong Duterte na lumalagpas ang NTC sa collection target nito.

Pinasalamatan ni NTC Commissioner Gamaliel Cordoba ang maayos na sistema ng koleksyon ng ahensya sa kabila ng mga ipinatupad na restrictions sa nagdaang mga buwan dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic.

“I am grateful to everyone in the NTC for the achievement. Our DICT family, headed by Secretary Gregorio B. Honasan II, is also part of this achievement as they have supported all our efforts,” ayon kay Cordoba.

Ang NTC ang ahensya ng gobyerno na nagre-regulate sa cable at commercial television operators, broadcast radio stations, telecommunications companies at commercial and portable radio operators.
