Duterte, pinatitiyak ang access sa COVID-19 vaccine

MANILA, Philippines — Hinikayat ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang mga miyembro ng Asia-Pacific Economic Coo­peration (APEC) na tiyakin na magkakaroon lahat ng access sa COVID-19 vaccine.

Ayon kay Duterte, dapat ding tiyakin na hindi mapuputol ang medical supplies lalo pa pagdating sa bakuna.

“We have to ensure the unimpeded flow of medical supplies and technologies, especially COVID-19 vaccines,” ani Duterte.

Ipinunto rin ni Duterte na dapat matalo ang virus dahil hindi na ligtas ang lahat.

Upang magawa ito, kailangan aniya na mas patatagin ang partnership para mapakinabangan ng buong mundo ang bakuna.

“We have to defeat the virus everywhere, or no one is safe. To do this, we need to strengthen partnerships to make vaccines a global public good,” ani Duterte.

Binanggit din ni Du­terte ang iba’t ibang pa­raan para makuha ang bakuna kabilang ang bilateral at multilateral cooperation, tripartite agreements sa pagitan ng mga gobynerno, pribadong sektor at financial institutions.
