Duterte ayaw ng makialam sa Speakership

MANILA, Philippines — Ayaw nang makialam ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa nangayayaring iringan ng mga mambabatas sa Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso dahil sa isyu sa liderato.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, ayaw magbigay ng komento ng Pangulo sa ginawang pagbibitiw sa puwesto ni Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano pero hindi natuloy matapos magbotohan.

“Stay out tayo dyan. No comment tayo dyan. That’s purely internal matter of the House of Representatives,” ani Duterte kay Roque.

Nauna rito, tumanggi rin si Roque na magsalita sa nangyaring botohan na naging daan upang manatili sa puwesto si Cayetano.

“This is an issue involving a co-equal branch of government and I was specifically instructed that whatever the agreement reached last night, it will be the House Speaker who should be announcing it to the public,” ani Roque.

Ipinunto ni Roque na dapat masunod ang separation of powers na naaayon sa Konstitusyon.

Nilinaw din ni Roque na namagitan lamang si Duterte kina Cayetano at Velasco dahil ito ang pinuno ng PDP-Laban.
