300K nabawas na pasahero sa international flights sa COVID

MANILA, Philippines — Umabot na sa mahigit 300,000 pasahero ang nabawas sa international flights simula Enero hanggang Pebrero 17 dahil sa coronavirus disease outbreak.

Ayon kay Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Ed Monreal, nabawasan din ang domestic travel ng nasa 3% o nasa 50,000 pasahero.

“I’m talking about international flights, base ho sa January up to February 17, iyong 16.74% is about mga 300,000 plus, 1,624,698. Ang actual natin ay nasa 1.352.692, so there about 300,000 na kabawasan pong mga pasahero – arrival and departure,” wika niya.

Sa kabila nito, iniha­yag ni Monreal na nakakakita na sila ng indikasyon ng pagbawi o pagbangon ng airline companies mula nang tanggalin na ang travel ban sa Taiwan habang pinayagan na ring maka­balik sa Hong Kong at Macau ang mga overseas Filipino workers.
