Sweldo ng mga guro uumentuhan ni Duterte
MANILA, Philippines — Nangako si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na dadagdagan ang sweldo ng mga guro ngayong taon.
Nangyari ang pahayag ilang araw matapos batikusin ng Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) ang gobyerno dahil sa diumano'y planong paniniktik ng Philippine National Police sa mga militanteng guro.
“I am willing to strike a deal in the presence of (Education) secretary (Leonor) Briones, with the teachers. You can choose the date, January, do it fast, then we can make even an agreement or manifesto, choose whatever kind of document,” sabi ng pangulo sa groundbreaking ng Gregorio National High School sa Bulacan kahapon.
Handa raw ang presidente na makipag-usap sa mga grupo ng teachers tungkol sa dagdag. Pero giit ni Digong, hindi kasama ang mga aktibistang guro.
“I can maybe accommodate your representatives, go to Malacanang, but not the left. They claim they are not communists. Let us not fool each other. I’ve been there,” dagdag niya.
Noong isang linggo, sinibak ni PNP chief Oscar Albayade ang ilang intelligence officers matapos sumingaw ang planong "pag-momonitor" sa ACT.
Pinalagan ng Commission on Human Rights ang diumano'y tangkang pag-iimbentaryo dahil nare-red-tag ang teachers bilang mga rebeldeng komunista.
