Digong: Wala nang peace talks

MANILA, Philippines — Tuluyan nang winakasan na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pakikipag-ayos sa mga komunista dahil sa umano’y kawalan ng katapatan sa usaping pangkapayapaan.

"This is to announce that the President signed this afternoon, November 23, Proclamation 360 declaring the termination of peace negotiations with the National Democratic Front-Communist Party of the Philippines – The New People’s Army," pahayag ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque kagabi.

Sa bisa ng Proclamation No. 360, tinapos na ng pangulo ang hakbang ng gobyerno na maayos ang hindi pagkakasundo ng dalawang panig.

Nitong mga nakaraang araw lamang ay ilang beses nagbabala ang pangulo sa paggamit ng pwersa laban sa mga komunista.

"While we agreed to resume peace talks with the aforementioned group and exerted our best efforts to accelerate the signing and implementation of the final peace agreement, the NDF-CPP-NPA has engaged in acts of violence and hostilities," patuloy ni Roque.

Napuno na si Duterte dahil sa patuloy na paggamit ng dahas ng NPA.

"We find it unfortunate that their members have failed to show their sincerity and commitment in pursuing genuine and meaningful peaceful negotiations," dagdag niya.
